“Farmer, Farmer put away the DDT, I don’t care about spots on my apples, leave me the birds and the bees”
I absolutely love this quote.
The song talks to me in so many ways. It’s about a love gone bad, it is about how much our lives change and sometimes we don’t realize the price we are paying.
For example, the constant need to be on our phones, on Facebook.
I don’t hate Facebook for that, it’s not there fault we have succumbed to need that constant stimulation.
After hearing that song and thinking about it’s history for me (it was mine and my husband’s first “song”. May have only lasted about six weeks but still).
Tomorrow I pray I spend less time on my phone and more time creating memories.
Likewise, I’d rather have ugly fruit than no trees or bees!
