Pizza is on regular rotation in our house. Sadly, most of the time it is take out pizza. In trying to change our eating habits, I am making pizza dough from scratch and storing it in the freezer (along with the items desired on the pizza) so on nights when we are busy we have homemade burn and serves.
Last night, while making the ones to save, the girls made their own. For the most part they were the same- three meat pizzas but Nevaeh combined her cheeses and added coolepenos from our garden (which because we planted them in the same container as jalapenos they picked up quite a bit of the kick!). Bre went with just the meat and separated her cheeses- mozzarella on one side, Mexican blend on the other.
If your looking to save money and still get that great pizza quality, my pleasure!
Combine one package of yeast with 3/4 cup of warm water and 1 tsp. sugar. Let sit for a few minutes.
(Let hub call, finish this step and don’t take pictures, mmmkay?)
Once it’s sat add 2 1/4 cups flour, 1 1/2 tbsp. olive oil, and pinch of salt into mixture. Using kneading hook, knead it for about five minutes.
Place onto baking pan and add ingredients.
Let cool slightly, enjoy!
