For an end-of-the-year teacher’s gift one of my students gave me the Magnolia Table Cookbook. My mother pre-ordered hers and was already dug into it by this point. I figured if we both have it we could take notes.
So far, here are my notes:
- The chocolate chip cookies are amazing
- Each of the recipes take everyday ingredients- so that’s good.
- It’s definitely Joanna Gaines style- she never waivers from that and hats off to her. The food is Southern to the core.
I made the brownie pie two days after getting the cookbook, the chocolate chip cookies twice now, the gravy, the macaroni and cheese, the chicken and dumplings, and the fish tacos. I believe the squash is on the agenda for later today as well.
Everything has turned out good, despite Bre and I not quite following the directions on the mac n’ cheese.
I would give Magnolia Table a Four out of four stars for ease of recipes and, again, staying true to herself. Be sure to pick this gem up!
