One of the most loved recipes by my family is my easy donuts. I found it in a cookbook by Paula Deen. When I read about them, I just could not wait to try them! That was 2011 and the girls have been asking for them ever since, especially when it’s cold outside.
I don’t know if you noticed but it’s cold outside, even in Texas. Yesterday we did not hit forty-five! I know what some of you are thinking “Poor babies…”
Seriously though, that’s cold for us.
These donuts are the perfect way to warm up. They come out nice and warm, then dipped in cinnamon and sugar.
Let’s enjoy this cold weather with an easy donut or two and some coffee.
They are so simple that I cannot wait to share them with you!
- 1 can biscuits
- oil for frying
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. cinnamon
- Pour oil into saucepan. Let heat until oil is ready to fry. While it's heating up add cinnamon and sugar in bowl together.
- Poke hole in the biscuits and drop into fryer. Let sit for one minute, flip and let sit one minute more.
- Pull from fryer and dip in cinnamon sugar, flip and set to the side.
- Once they are all finished, enjoy!
