The girls had to do a science fair project this year. Last year it was just the older one. She told me that her goal was to be colorful every year.
So we found a pretty fun, colorful experiment on density I thought I would share with y’all.
We took skittles and separated them as:
- 2 Red
- 4 Orange
- 6 Yellow
- 8 Green
- 10 Purple
Then, we added 2 tblsp. warm water to each and let sit for an hour to dissolve.
Once they were dissolved, we added the purple water to a mason jar (a clear jar will work, you just want to be able to see it). Using a dropper, add the remaining colors from most amount of skittles to least.
Check out your results!
After you do the experiment, you are bound to see density every where you go. Like in your coffee before it’s shaken up!
