The girls were not home for New Years. I tend to be the type that goes all out. This year they stayed at their grandparents and got to see fireworks and be more calm. I think they made it to eleven. They did have a long day of driving back ahead of them.
So to make life in 2016 more exciting, I decided the first weekend they were back we would have a big sleep over. Our biggest one yet- with three girls spending the night instead of just one.
Sadly, one was unable to make it this week. Not to worry though, she will be here this coming weekend. We are super excited about her visit because she will be Breanna’s first sleepover at her house. Yet Bre had no problems fitting right in with Nevaeh’s group. They played all kinds of games- UNO, Charades and My Little Pony Board game. They sang karaoke, made glitter bracelets (details coming soon) and stayed up all the way until one am when the hubs finally had to intervene and tell them to get some sleep!
And what’s a slumber party without sleeping in the weirdest places? We built the girls a three tiered bunk bed several years ago and they chose to sleep underneath the beds! It is a fun little hideout though.
The next morning though, they woke up and got right to playing. I, on the other hand, decided to whip them up something extra special.
What better way to ring in the day after a fun sleepover? I sure can’t think of any! They were more than thrilled to test out my new recipe and it got two thumbs up all the way around. Curious? Well, let your little ones (or little ones at heart) give it a try. Let me know what they think!
